When in Cebu

I'm a Dabawenya. I was born and raised in the Land of Promise---DAVAO. But I can never deny my origin being a CEBUANA. My family originates from Cebu. Hence, I always consider Cebu my second home.

I have been in my second home for numerous times, and every visit is memorable. Not just because my family is there, but also because there ARE really a lot of things/places in Cebu that are worth remembering.

So, as I reminisce my moments in Cebu, I compiled a list of the places and/activities one must try or check out when in Cebu.

1. Swim with the Whale Sharks in Oslob, Cebu

Whale Shark watching are open only from 6AM- 12NN, so if you plan to swim with the whale sharks you better wake up early. Since Oslob is a long way from the city proper, you can opt to sleep the night before at one of the resorts around the area.

2. Attend mass at Simala Church

3. Swimming at Kawasan Falls

I heard that canyoneering is the must-try activity around this area. I have yet to try that one.
It was unfortunate that we were time-constraint when we went to Kawasan. We did not have the whole day to do 'canyoneering'. However, I still look forward to the day I get to try that. :) Nonetheless, it was fun. The place was really cool, and the coral blue water is amazing. It reminds me of the waters at Hinatuan, Surigao. :)

4. Fort San Pedro

5. Magpa-'Sinulog' at Magellan's Cross

6. Try the 4D, Skywalk and Edge Coaster at Crown Regency

7. Lapu-Lapu Shrine and go souvenir shopping

8. Check out Alegre Guitars

9. Spend a day swimming, rock climbing, and more at Plantation Bay. It's totally worth it.

10.  Visit the Taoist Temple

11. Visit Samboan Park.

If I recall correctly, there was an old church in this park. Then, there was a site here where there were stories that they digged up a miraculous statue of Jesus. The place was basically HOLY. I don't know if the place is still the same, but I believe it's still worth visiting. I haven't been there since 2010. But if you decide to visit this, just prepare yourself for another long drive. :)

There are still a lot of places to discover in Cebu, especially now that more tourists are visiting the area. That is why I always take pride in claiming Cebu as my second home because of its many surprises. I still look forward to more visits though. I never get tired of going back to Cebu.

When I do get back, I'll update this blog.
For the mean time, I'd appreciate it if you leave in the comments section your suggestions of the places I still have to go to AND/OR adventures I still need to try out.

I'm positive I'm going back to my beloved Cebu City in the near future. Hence, I'd appreciate it if you help me out with my itinerary or list of activites. Thank you. :)

PS. The  photos above were taken on many different occasions. Some photos were as recent as 2015, and some were as old as 2010. I suggest you do further research when you use my blog for your planned trip. Lovelots. *wink*

My Love for My Melo. ♥

A lot of my friends know how much I love mango float, chocolates, heels, the color pink, make-up and all other things that glitters. But only my closest friends know my weakness and slight addiction to cute MY MELODY stuffs. I love My Melo. ♥

Let me introduce to you my baby, my really cute baby--- My Melo. ;)
My Melody, a Sanrio character. ♥
I have been longing to buy cute My Melody items, but My Melo items are hard to find and are usually a bit pricey.

When you check out stores who sell character-printed shirts or any other items, they only have the more famous ones. My Melo ones are usually unavailable; the only Sanrio character common to stores are Hello Kitty items. :((

Also, whenever I accidentally find one, they tend to cut a big percentage of my allowance. Huge, cute My Melo toys and items are a bit expensive. And it kind-of destroys my whole "practical" buying habit POV. :((((

It's frustrating. That's why, when I receive My Melo gifts, I usually overreact. :)

Like when my sisters bought me these cute my melo keychains/accessories. I got teary-eyed. Eh, naisip kaya nila ako habang naglalakwatsa sila. Nakaka-touch! They were strolling around the mall and saw these cute keychains which they immediately bought kasi alam nilang love na love ko yung mga ganun.
Ang sweet! ♥
date i received these gifts: 03/24/12
And like this unexpected gift I got from a dear friend who just got back from Manila. Naisip niya daw ako nung nakita niya to sa Star City. 'di ko inexpect na may pasalubong pala ako from her. Ang sweet ni Charmaine. Thanks, Cha. Magagamit ko to sa upcoming trip ko to somewhere cold. hmmmm. :D

Thank you, guys, for remembering. :)
I love you. ♥

PS. Sa mga may planong magbigay, idea na 'to sa ibibigay niyo sa akin ngayong papalapit na pasko. The first three (3) lines of this post will solve your dilemma already. hahahahahha! Thank you, ha! Merry Christmas!

Sunny Day. Make a fresh start!

My sister and a few of my friends wanted me to engage into Fashion Blogging. At first, I hesitated  because of so many factors; and that includes the critics and opinions of veterans in the world of fashion. But after a long hard thinking and reasoning, I finally decided to add a Fashion column on this blog.

Why not? I'm not a bad dresser myself and I believe I do have great taste when it comes to clothing and accessories, too. So, to hell with the ifs and buts, I MUST FOLLOW WHAT I WANT TO DO.

Fashion Blogging is about FREEDOM and UNIQUENESS. There's no limit to fashion.
So, to officially start my fashion blog. I had my little sister pose for photos wearing the outfit I wanted her to wear. YES, stylist muna ako dito.

Honestly, I was so impressed by how my sister cooperated and projected while I was capturing her photos. She's a natural; and I'm not saying this because she's my sister and I love her. But really, I think she's got some talent in modelling that I'd like to develop in her. She's only 14, but sooner or later, I'd get her to audition to modelling agencies and stuff. hahaha. stage-sister! :D

Anyway, about the inspiration of this outfit, I chose this because that time I took these photos, the sun was so bright and happy. AND right now, I also feel bright and happy for starting out a new and exciting adventure in the world of fashion and blogging. So, THIS OUTFIT would be perfect for my breakthrough in Fashion Blogging. I hope you guys would support me as I venture into this new phase of blogging; and pls, continue to visit my blog. :))

mommy's day! :)

May 13, 2012

It was the so-called MOTHERS' DAY celebration.
I didn't really prepare much for my mom. it's because i don't have much money to throw her an extravagant celebration. Maybe someday, i could do that. when i finally graduate and get a good job, i'll make everyday of her life "Mothers' Day" and will treat her more than what she deserves..

Anyways, i still made the best out of what i have to make my mom feel special; although my mom always tells me that she doesn't need material gifts, i still feel uneasy for not having anything to give her on that day, except for my greeting, a kiss and a big warm hug. Also, i made much effort editing photos and notes to send to her facebook account and email address, just to show how proud i am of my mom. -because it's to cheesy and mushy to make cards. lol. and yes, i lack skills.:)

Later that morning, my family and i got into the car and drove down the road for an hour to go to my granny's place. She said that she wants to spend her Mothers' Day with her own mom, too. When we got there, i hugged my  grandma and greeted her with a kiss.

We had a few laughs and a little "salo2" with the rest of the family. it was a great day.

The next day, my sisters and i bought her a gift; it's a necklace and a pair of earrings. it's not much and not that expensive. But i guess, this will do for now 'til i can buy her real jewelries when i finally finish my studies and get a job. :)

located at 2nd flr Gaisano Ilustre.

One's thing for sure, we will always give her the greatest gift---LOVE; and she will always be our greatest and most priced possession. We love you, ma! ♥

it's because we're an OHANNA ---  and ohanna means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. (from Lilo and Stitch The Movie)

Since my sister was out of town for more than a week, we didn't really had that same energy at home because of the lack of the presence of my dear sister, Diane.

As you see, being complete is really a necessity for a happy home.
we've missed her so much, so last May 6 (Sunday) .. we went to the airport to fetch our dear sister, Diane.

before reaching the airport, we made stops at GS Ilustre and Abreeza Mall for a little gallivanting while killing the time.

It was around 6pm that we finally decided to head for the airport and anticipate the arrival of Diane whose flight was from Manila. She had her trip to Baguio with her Girl Scout Family for some activity there.

Even though, the rain poured heavily while waiting, we still waited with patience for my sister who arrived an hour and a half after we got there.. *phew*

Instead of going home straight, we decided to have a family dinner, first. we were already hungry and we can't wait for another hour before we could have dinner.. (our trip home would last for an hour due to the distance)..

So, we went to a restaurant @ Robinson's Cybergate, Davao.

@ Robinson's Cybegate's carpark with my sisters. ♥
We dined for some Japanese deli @ Rai Rai Ken, and had quality time together.

this one is my favorite.
